Dear CAS fans - I have not yet unearthed some of my
Smith artifacts, however I found the textbook,
"A Series of Spanish Conversations: in the Conjugational
Order" - Clark gave me this old book which was published
in 1914 thinking I might find it useful. The book has
a sticker inside the front cover with the name
C. Wakefield, 2409 Edwards St., Berkeley, Calif.;
on the frontispiece the same name and address in a
left slanting handwriting. Below is the note CAS
wrote for me - "father of Frank Wakefield who did
"Genius Loci" cover." Clark already knew that I
considered "Genius Loci" one of his best tales, and
it remains one of my favorites as it touches a
deep vein in Irish mythology.
Anyone who wishes to own this little volume may
send $50.00 to cover time and shipping to
Calonlan
622 Atlantic St.
Corpus Christi, Tx. 78404
If no one wants it, I am quite happy to keep it.
Thought if would make someone a nice memento of CAS
since he had used it, and rigorously studied it.
