Does this site contain the complete short stories of CAS?

If this site doesn't have all his poetry, here's one that allegedly does: [allpoetry.com]

Smith wrote more than 700 poems, on that website there are just 165.

Counting stuff that was published posthumously, the number is far higher. IIRC, the Complete Poetry and Translations has more than 1200 poems.

Is it worth buying "The Complete Poetry and Translations" published by Hippocampus press?

I mean, aren't most of the poems contained in those three volumes reproduced here on the site in this section?:

That Hippocampus book looks great. It would be great to get a complete short stories collection too. In my original post, I was mostly wondering what percentage of CAS's short stories are on this eldritchdark site we're speaking on right now.

Well, 700 out of more than 1200 at least, but that still leaves more than 500 that aren't on the site (including CAS's dirty limericks). And even so, there are some typos on the website - "naked gents" for "naked giants", and so on.

Most of them, but not "Red World of Polaris", for example.

There is no question that the Hippocampus Press edition of CAS complete poetry dwarfs all previous editions, (including Arkham's hefty "Selected Poems"). The "Fugitive Poems" are there, too. They also include many translations by CAS from the Spanish and the French which were previously unavailable.

As regards the complete short stories, you will have to look for the Night Shade Books edition of "The Complete Fantasies of Clark Ashton Smith" in five volumes. Undeniably the most complete compilation by far. Most short stories are complemented by excerpts from CAS letters concerning the story itself. Unfortunately, the first two volumes are OOP. There are rumors of their reprint in paperback, sometime soon. (But they are currently available in e-book formats, so you can start reading before you eventually buy them!)
