Hello,

Has anybody heard of William Sloane? I have bought his book The Rim of Morning: Two Tales of Cosmic Horror) and it is not bad at all; it consists of two longer stories (books in one, in fact) in the vein of Weird Tales. It was written in 1930s.

I read both of Sloane's novels a few years ago, and I really enjoyed them. If you want to see a film adaptation of The Edge of Running Water, take a look at THE DEVIL COMMANDS, starring Boris Karloff. It's not terribly faithful to the novel, but it's still enjoyable.

I will have to look for it. I used to have both, but over the years, they have mysteriously disappeared from my collection.
