Hello,

Has anybody heard of William Sloane? I have bought his book The Rim of Morning: Two Tales of Cosmic Horror) and it is not bad at all; it consists of two longer stories (books in one, in fact) in the vein of Weird Tales. It was written in 1930s.

I read both of Sloane's novels a few years ago, and I really enjoyed them. If you want to see a film adaptation of The Edge of Running Water, take a look at THE DEVIL COMMANDS, starring Boris Karloff. It's not terribly faithful to the novel, but it's still enjoyable.

New York Review Books Classics recently issued both of Sloane's novels in a single volume, entitled The Rim of Morning: Two Tales of Cosmic Horror. It's available at Amazon in paperback or e-book.

I will have to look for it. I used to have both, but over the years, they have mysteriously disappeared from my collection.
