I just got my copy of D. L. Myers' Oracles from the Black Pool in the mail yesterday, and have only started to dip Into it, but I'm very impressed so far. Myers has a strong and original poetic voice, and it's great to have the chance to experience a collection of his verse. The accompanying illustrations by Dan Sauer really add to the atmosphere as well.

Oracles from the Black Pool is absolutely amazing. He's really a hidden gem. I've also got Wade German's second collection ordered and I excitedly await my copy. Adam Bolivar's collection is pretty hefty but his talent to spin dark folkloric ballads are witty and charming. The Crimson Tome is also a great one if you haven't gotten that one yet. K. A. Opperman invented his own style of sonnet with 15 lines instead of the standard 14 and wrote a brilliant sonnet cycle with that form. Then there's Diary of a Sorceress, my own collection. I wrote a 210 line epic poem inspired by CAS, George Sterling, and H. P. L. which may be of interest.
