A New Poetry APA?

I'm thinking of starting up an amateur press association devoted to poetry. It would probably be quarterly, with a minimum activity level of tweve pages and a minimum number of one issue per year. Further, it would be distributed as a PDF, at no cost to members.

As for material, it would include, poetry, both by yourself and others, criticism, scholarship, and other material (such as news, CFPs, market details, etcetera) relating to poets and poetry.

Anyway, how many here would be interested in giving this a go?

I'm certainly interested. I have no ability in the criticism department, and my understanding of poetic technique is nil; but I love poetry and would see this as a way to shew my appreciation and learn more about this art.

It would be great if there was poetry that actually rhymed and had rhythm--easier to memorize. I so despise free verse, which is nothing but prose chopped into arbitrary line-lengths!

Free verse has rhythm: it's metre that it lacks.
And not all poetry relies on bother metre and rhyme--Biblical verse has neither of course, and this verse has been essential to English-language prosody.
