Calvin & Hobbes were great, not just in terms of the linework, but the content. There's a hilarious precis of (most) Modern Art via snowmen.

As a regular reader, it was for intellectual content. I was using the well-rendered graphics as an example of what *might* be considered beautiful.

The content was comical, insightful, and reflected the better parts of human nature very well, especially minor foibles.

I mean, I'm a willful, egotistical, (not so) little snot with occasional good insights...
