The other day I read a short tale of terror "FrittFlacc" (1884) by Jules Verne. Does anybody know if he wrote more horror stories? I read a lot of books by him when a boy but judging by what I can remember he was not an ardent contributor to horror literature.

There's a novel I haven't read called something like Carpathian Castle that is, I believe, an outing inthe Gothic form -- spooky but with the "supernatural" elements rationalized at the end.

You are right. The reviews meantion a supernatural element. Thanks for the tip.
