Friday the 13th

Rumor has it that CAS was born on Fri 13th, Jan 1893. I wonder if anyone has ever checked an almanac to confirm that 1-13-1893 did in fact fall on a Friday?

I just did, using

and January 13th 1893 was indeed a Friday!

Thanks for checking, Martin. I'm really not surprized! For those of us who enjoy the numbers game, here's a good one:
Smith would have turned 113 today, on 1-13. Quite the coincidence eh? Or perhaps the stars are now aligned for his reincarnation . . . you never know!

Just opened this today, or I would have verified for you also - lit a candle nine days before (novena candles burn nine days), and then chanted the appropriate spells to his shade - "so mote it be"
