LOST WORLDS: THE JOURNAL OF CLARK ASHTON SMITH STUDIES, is about to go to the printer. The first issue costs $7, for which the reader receives: a cover with a full color painting by CAS; "The Face by the River," a newly discovered Smith short story; "Eblis in Bakelite," a legendary piece of negative criticism by James Blish, along with a riposte by Donald Sidney-Fryer, "Blish versus CAS, or The Young Turk Syndrome;" "The Poetics of Morbidity," a revised version of Jim Rockhill's essay; and "Who Discoverd Clark Ashton Smith?" by the present writer. Also included are news and reviews. Future issues will be published on a quarterly basis, or as close to that as a semi-pro journal can achieve. We are trying to get MLA accreditation at this time. Contact www.seele-brennt.com for information on orderin, and contact me about contributions.
Best, Scott Connors
