Thirty miles north of Corpus Christi is a best of rock (none at all near the coast) which I am told came from the Yucatan asteroid impact. In using softball size stones from the quarry for landscaping, I have found a number of fossils, pieces of leg bone mainly, but an intact Mammoth Tooth - a molar apparently, my dentist, and the Univ. confirm it as such - looks like one I lost in grade school only huge -
