The Sciapods

11" X 12½". Show-card colours. Two nude figures, male and female, of the Sciapods of ancient Greek and also Hindu Mythology. They are "upside down" with roots where their hair should be and they shade themselves with their wide leaf like feet. The setting is a weird landscape with grotesque and multicoloured trees and shrubs. (Described by George F. Haas). Scan From The Fantastic Art of Clark Ashton Smith, Mirage press. 1973.
