Opus 1856

Phillip A. Ellis

As the star Valemniar,
unto love I vow my heart,
   knowing neither cloud nor haar
could eclipse its brilliant art

As the moons that eastwards swoon,
   unto love I ever come
   as Threvaxx that summer tracks
nigh the singing shores struck dumb.

As the sun that climbs and runs
   ever past horizons far,
unto love I vow, I live
penitent as moons and star.
