Film of The Shadow Over Innsmouth

Does any EDer know if anyone has attempted a film version of The Shadow Over Innsmouth?

I have just completed rereading it (for maybe the 10th-12th time) and it struck me that this is almost screen-ready, as a screenplay. So that's why I suspect it has already been done.

A forgettable film, or maybe I'm daft. I just remember the art direction.

Forgettable sounds like a fair assessment. My expectations were very low; and from that vantagepoint, I felt no outrage. The film lets you know right away that, whatever else it may be, it is not a FAITHFUL adaptation. Maybe a non-HPL fan would find some of the elements original.

Insumasu o ouu Kage (1992). Japanese hour-long TV special.

You can find it on Youtube. It's not faithful enough so you can figure out what's going on without subtitles. And there are no subtitles. Some atmospheric scenes.
