Martinus, please. We members of the vibrant fantasy-reading community are stigmatized often enough as immature without your reinforcing the stereotype with these puerile ejaculations. Do it à la HPL if you feel you have to: "Iä!" If Shub-Niggurath appears, you'll know you've got it right.

A) I'm not afraid of being viewed as childish, and neither should anyone, B) I don't think there are a great many non-members of the fantasy-reading community here who will get their preconceived opinions reinforced. Besides, the mundanes get so much amusement out of our attempts to be accepted that I simply wouldn't give them the satisfaction even in the unlikely case that there were any around here.

But to be on the safe side, I'll take a leaf from the golf audience's book of etiquette next time and just pretend to applaud. Better?
