I have a special offer for our friends in non-English speaking countries. I am the co-editor, with David E. Schultz, of the forthcoming Arkham House edition of The Selected Letters of Clark Ashton Smith. We are currently reading galley proofs on this, and the book should be out sometime this summer.
I am interested in obtaining foreign editions of books by CAS, especially the NEO editions from France, the Bibliothek des Haus Usher from Germany, the Japanese collection, and various Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and Greek collections. Appearances from the former Eastern Bloc countries would be of especial interest. I have all of the in-print French, Finnish, and German editions, plus a handful of others. I am interested in obtaining any lacunae for my holdings, including anthology appearances and magazine articles, and can pay (by PayPal preferably) or trade. I would be pleased to offer an autographed copy of Selected Letters in trade for an equivalent value of foreign editions. I'm also willing to obtain for you various books, CDs, etc. from the US for trading purposes.
Ultimately this information on foreign appearances will appear in an updated edition of Donald Sidney-Fryer's monumental bibliography Emperor of Dreams (not to be confused with the recent Orion Millenium omnibus of CAS' tales by that same title).

-"Velhojen valtakunta": Velhojen valtakunta (The Empire of the Necromancers)
-"Outoja Tarinoita 1": Gorgo (The Gorgon)
-"Outoja tarinoita 4": Genius loci (Genius Loci)
-"Weird Tales": Adomphan puutarha (The Garden of Adompha)
I trust you don't have any of these? (The two other anthologies, "Mustan jumalan suudelma" and "Musta kivi" I send you last year.) If so, I think I could well turn up some, if not all, of these with a bit of searching. I can also look for articles, but I fear there might not be too many of those, apart from reviews.

other German/Austrian/Swiss editions of CAS besides those listed here, I can
reimburse you or provide for you in trade certain American publications,

Actually, I'm only trying to get one of the copies of
Strange Shadows from Gavin Smith; however, I think it

there were THREE Suhrkamp volumes.

1. Saat aus dem Grabe
2. Planet der Toten
3. Das Haupt der Medusa

#1 and #2 are reprints of the Bibliothek des Hauses Usher editions and appeared in about 1980; #3 was published in 1988. All were translated by Friedrich Polakovics; no overlaps occurred

Also, there was a German edition of POSEIDONIS (same title) as Moewig Phantastica 1819 in 1985. Martin Eisele was the translator.

Finally (so far), there was NECROPOLIS, published by FEsta Verlag in 2001. Translators fo 13 of the fifteen stories were Andreas Diesel, Frank Festa, and yours truly. Two Eisele translations were edited and included as well.

I am preparing a list/bibliography of German CAS translations and will mail the complete version to you. It should not take too long.
