Correct on the whole, but they were made by many different translators over a time period of approximately 20 years. Besides they often fail to render the specific interest CAS had in the sound of words (cf. Scott's research in the field). A new translation of his fiction would be preferable to a new edition, but times are hard for publishers over here and it seems no one is ready to take that risk right now.

These early translations were thoroughly revised under the supervision of Francis Lacassin in the early 90's when he published his Complete Lovecraft (Robert Laffont, Publ.).
Where were you stationed (just curious)?
