Does anyone know why the prose poems were not included? I find that a strange and sad omission.

Excellent point. I've wondered the same thing, myself. If CAS saw fit to include poems in prose in Ebony and Crystal, then I wonder why the editors countermanded CAS's judgment?

I suggested to Joshi three years ago that the prose poems be included, and he thought it a good idea at the time and said he'd look into it. I have no idea why they weren't included, although I speculate that there may have been issues regarding the rights. I hope they will be released separately eventually.

Good news! Hippocampus Press has just updated its website, and the Complete Poetry and Translations will be reprinted in paperback in September (and if I'm not mistaken they will include corrections by yours truly. I didn't spot all the typos since I didn't compare texts side by side and don't know Spanish or French, but I detected a fair number.)

I think I'll hold my breath waiting for Hippocampus to do the right thing and offer free copies of the corrected volumes to those of us who bought the error-riddled hardcover copies at full price. See you on the other side....

This is great news for those of us who were too lazy, slow-witted or skint the first time around...

I wonder how many volumes and at what price the paper backs will be ...

3 volumes at 15$ each??

That's unlikely. The Last Oblivion is a pretty slim book at about 200 pages, and that costs $15. The Complete Poetry books are over 400 pages each (except one which is less), so I'd guess at $20 each. And I doubt that anything will be made rearranging the texts into more volumes.

Great! Glad to hear that most typos will have been corrected. I thought we'd have to wait longer for the paperbacks than this-- just in time for the withered and sere leaves of autumn.
