You lost me when you compared Joshi to Mabbott. It's akin to comparing an ant to an elephant.

I am not making a comparison in quality, merely pointing out the analogy concerning their continued interest and publication each on a particular figure....

However, as Joshi's own ideas concerning HPL continue to evolve (which they certainly do in various respects), I still maintain that he has more of interest to add on that subject....

As in other areas, we'll simply have to agree to disagree, re. Joshi, Mabbott, etc. I definitely prefer not to resume the pro- or anti-Joshi debate, which was, as I recall, thoroughly covered in another thread.
