Tsathoggua

Ron Shiflet

Oh Lord Tsathoggua or perhaps Saint Toad,
From Saturn you have traveled to the Earth.
Serpent men of Yoth first traveled your road
With formless creatures to which you gave birth.
To K'n-Yan and Lomar your worship spread,
Revered by the voormis and later, man.
In Hyperborea your name caused dread
'Til ice overwhelmed this mystical land.

Father of Night do they worship you still,
Do beasts of the wood still pause at your name?
Just speaking it now makes my warm blood chill,
A deathly cold that can't be warmed by flame.
Your amorphous body ever changes shape,
Composite of bat, sloth, toad and the ape.
