Phil

Lol! Yes, my boyfriend always jokes about the extra 'm' in Mormon :D
I'll spare you the agony of my story, but hear this: There is a city in Utah named for my family. *shudders violently* I'd rather be a Jew than a Mormon! J/k (hope I haven't offended anyone....)

"Mrs. Murray, I am afraid I have some bad news about your daughter. You may want to sit down, as it is terrible."

"She's... she's dead?"

"No, she's a mormon...."

*faint*

LMAO!

Phillip, you're a riot. My mother would more likely faint if I told her I was going off to a convent in Ireland and dedicate my life to Christ. Or something scary. Like becoming a Republican...

I can top this, and it's even on topic: It seems that Brigham Young (sounds like kiddie porn, doesn't it?) University Library has the original manuscript for CAS' "The Abominations of Yondo" in their--hold onto your hats, gang--_Mormon Authors_ Collection!!! The only thing I can figure out is that Carol's grandson posthumously converted the old guy. I can just imagine Clark up at the Pearly Gates (Mormon Section) wondering what the @#$%^& happened?!?!?!

Best,
Scott

WHAT??? Those blasted Mormons! Do you know how strict their dress code is? Gah, I know it seems off topic, but I just hate them so much!! Why would CAS convert? That's absurd!! Maybe he was delirious? Hmm, I wonder if Heaven is segregated into religious sections? Like, all the different religions are in different regions? Hmm,....Except Atheists and Satanists, I suppose. We all know where they'd be, according to religious texts...

w00t!

Dear folk,
Clark found the Mormon's ( on those rare occasions where they might
be discussed) an amusing fraud, having recognized early on that their
book was a spurious attempt to imitate Elizabethan English, and being
quite cognizant of the lawsuits brought against them by the family of Congregational minister, The Rev. Solomon Spaulding, whose manuscript of a very bad (and the second of two) novel had been stolen from the print shop the same day a certain Sidney Rigdon quit work there. Mr.
Rigdon reappeared more than 17 years later as one of the "scribes" writing down Joe Smith's dictation as he "translated" the golden tablets. Some 15 years ago, long after Clark's death, 17 pages in the middle of the original manuscript were copied and proven by handwriting analysis to be the work of Rev. Spaulding - who died in
1817 - The book of Mormon appeared in 1830 about. "O quae mutatio rerum."

What's really a twist of cruel fate, I, hater of Mormons extraordinaire, was cursed to be born on the same day as that wretch Joesph Smith. That whole thing about CAS and Mormons seems to be very suspicious indeed...

Megan

You were born on the same day as Joseph Smith? 1805 must have been a good year to see you come into the world.

You want to hear something very scary Novena, something that will make your 199-year old knees tintinabulate in surprise?

I used to be a mormon. I also used to be a ... *ahem* ... independent Southern Baptist. Good thing I'm now an atheist (after toying briefly with neo-paganism). I have seen the light, and it is a bug-zapper.

.....I am in shock. Oh well, I used to be in love with boy bands and wear size 0 pants!

Besides, I don't even look 16. I look more along the lines of maybe, an 18-20 girl.

Ooh, I saw the light, except it was the waffle iron. ^_^

I'm learning about Traditional Satanism and I couldn't be more excited! Unless, there were some cupcakes.
