What are some of the forum member's favorite Zothique stories?

I will force myself to list only three stories, despite my admiration for the cycle as a whole:

"The Dark Eidolon"
"Xeethra"
"Necromancy in Naat"

If it comes down to three stories, definitely in this ranking:

1) 'Xeethra'
2) 'The Dark Eidolon'
3 'The Empire of the Necromancers' (just because it was the first Smith story I ever read

The Last Hieroglyph
Xeethra

I'm also quite fond of

Necromancy in Naat
The Empire of the Necromancers
The Isle of the Torturers

I will have to agree with so many on here -- I'd put "The Dark Eidolon" very high on the list, not only of the Zothique tales, but of my favorite Smith tales, period (right up there with "A Night in Malnéant", "The Last Incantation", "The Chain of Aforgomon", "The Last Hieroglyph", and "The Uncharted Isle".

I think the other favorites from this cycle would be:

"The Last Hieroglyph"
"The Isle of the Torturers"
"Necromancy in Naat"
"Xeethra"
"The Death of Ilalotha"

However, as has been said, I'm very fond of this cycle as a whole.....
